Principal's Pride

Let me tell you a little about Zach. Zach has unlimited energy - he never stops!! He just goes and goes until he literally just crashes at night - what I woudn't do for some of his energy!! He is also a very helpful child. He wants to be in the middle of whatever you are doing helping in every way that he can. He doesn't think there is a job too big out there for him. He rarely ever says no if asked to do something and will even go out of his way to help someone. He is a hard little worker and is almost always cheerful and pleasant. He is just an all around good kid. We love and appreciate him dearly.

His teacher has noticed what a big help he is and nominated him for Principal's Pride at school. His picture may look more like something you would find in a police report, but that's just Zach. he doesn't like to smile for pictures. Looking serious is so much more fun. His teacher appreciates that he is willing to help her and the other students whenever there is a need and also mentioned what a good student he is, as well.

We were invited to a luncheon at the school to honor him and the other students in other classes that had been nominated. We are very proud of our little helper!!
It was fun becuase it happened whil Daddy was in town, so we both go to be there for him.

After lunch, we accompanied Zach out to lunch recess and asked him about his friends and his recess activities. Turns out, he would rather help the ground teacher than go play!! He may be taking this helpful bit a too seriously!! We encouraged him to go play at recess - he is only a 7-yr-old boy! He instisted that by helping, he earned tickets with which he was going to buy a school shirt. We encouraged him to go play and then went and bought him a $5 school shirt. Hopefully he is playing during recess, at least some of the time, now. He's a great kid.
